Brooks is a co-founder and Managing Partner of FinTech Collective.

Prior to becoming a venture capitalist, Brooks had a successful career as an entrepreneur and global operating executive in capital markets, payments, and enterprise tech. He was a key executive and officer at New York-based Multex, which successfully IPO’d and exited to Reuters; London-based Serverside, which successfully exited to Gemalto; and Oslo-based FAST, which successfully exited to Microsoft for over $1b. Brooks began his career as an enterprise software developer.

Brooks completed Harvard Business School’s program for Management Development and graduated from Williams College with distinction.

Gareth is co-founder and Managing Partner of FinTech Collective.

Prior to becoming a venture capitalist, Gareth was a successful entrepreneur and business leader, who helped build and sell three category-leading fintech companies. These included Multex, which IPO’d and then successfully sold to Reuters; Serverside, which successfully sold to Gemalto, a European digital security company; and CardLab, which was successfully acquired by Blackhawk Networks, a global leader in prepaid gift, reward and incentive technologies and solutions. Prior to starting his career in fintech, Gareth spent three years ‘double handing’ a 36ft sailing boat 33,000 nautical miles from the UK to the Antarctic circle.

Gareth has completed Columbia Business School’s Senior Executive Program and graduated from the University of the West of England with a BSc. Honours Degree.

A former entrepreneur and world-ranked poker player, Sean helped bring the practice of "poker staking" online using data and analytics. Sean spent five years as an investment banker at Credit Suisse covering financial services and technology companies.

Sean graduated with an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

Prior to joining FinTech Collective, Carlos was COO of Suyo - a Colombian, VC-backed tech startup focused on property document formalization, which he helped scale to four different cities. Previously, he began his career as an FX options trader for JPMorgan Chase's NYC desk.

Carlos received a BA & BS (magna cum laude) from the University of Pennsylvania's Huntsman Program. He completed an MBA at Wharton and MPA at the Harvard Kennedy School. He has lived in ten cities across six different countries and is fluent in four languages.

Toby is a Partner at FinTech Collective and leads the firm’s European operations and investment activities from London.

Toby spent a decade in financial markets & corporate finance and a decade as a fintech entrepreneur and operator. He began his career in corporate finance at Goldman Sachs, followed by several years at a London-based hedge fund where he invested in single names across the capital structure with a focus on emerging markets. He then followed his entrepreneurial calling to co-found a Berlin-based SME lending platform. In scaling this platform across five countries in Europe and AustralAsia, he came to love the operating side. So, upon exiting his lending platform, he went on to join a scale-up in digital banking to launch and head the European operations. Prior to joining Fintech Collective, Toby headed the digital investing business as a member of the Global Executive Board at Vontobel, a Zurich-based global asset and wealth management house.

Born in Germany, Toby holds a Bachelor of Sciences in Economics from LSE, a Master of Philosophy in Economics from the University of Cambridge and a Master of Business Research in Game Theory from the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich.

Sarah is a Principal and Head of Growth at FinTech Collective.

Prior to joining FinTech Collective, Sarah spent ten years at Morgan Stanley, most recently in Global Capital Markets as a member of the Equity Syndicate Team, primarily focusing on TMT and international offerings. Prior to that, she worked in Sales and Trading. A former athlete and sports enthusiast, Sarah was the youngest member of the 2006 Women’s Olympic Ice Hockey Team that won a bronze medal in Torino, Italy. She also co-authored a book on Serie A, the top Italian professional soccer league, as well as a book on the US Men’s National Soccer Team.

Sarah received her MBA with highest honors from Columbia Business School and her B.A. in Economics cum laude from Dartmouth College.

Morgan in the Latin America Investment Banking Division where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets across a wide range of industries. He started his career working at Citibank in the Latin America Credit Risk team based in Buenos Aires.

Cristobal earned his MBA from the Wharton School and a Master of Arts in International Studies from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. An Argentinean citizen, he is fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese.

Prior to joining FinTech Collective, Louden worked as an investor on PEAK6's Strategic Capital team. Previously, he was on the executive team at Zogo, a fintech startup that provides finanical education software to banks and credit unions, where he led sales and marketing.

Louden received his MBA from Harvard Business School and his B.S. in Economics magna cum laude from Duke University. While at HBS, Louden led the Harvard team of The MBA Fund and was Co-President of HBSBuilds.

Prior to joining FinTech Collective, Samantha managed fintech investments across Africa and Latin America at FINCA Ventures. Previously, she was based in East Africa leading strategy at NALA, a YC-backed startup focused on building cross-border payment solutions for the African diaspora. She began her career at Morgan Stanley in Equity Capital Markets covering financial institutions and fintech companies. Samantha also volunteers as the mentorship lead and on the venture team for Shaper Impact Capital, a global network powered by the World Economic Forum that connects tech-enabled social impact startups with investors and mentors.

Samantha earned her B.S. and M.S. from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service accelerated dual degree program.

In her free time, Kate loves to visit art museums and galleries, painting and baking all kinds of cakes and cookies.

Kate received her B.S.E in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from Princeton University.

Parker's early career was spent working in product and strategy for several early-stage tech startups. There, she developed and launched strategic initiatives to increase stickiness, drive growth, and foster brand awareness.

In college, Parker served as Director of the Blythe Fund, managing the university’s endowed investment portfolio. She also worked as an intern for Unovis Asset Management and Impulsum VC. In secondary school, Parker co-founded Lucca Magazine, a virtual lifestyle magazine catering to global creators. Today, Parker is also a Founding Member of Boys Club, a social collective and DAO shaping the future of culture in crypto.

Faisal started his career in Private Equity with Abraaj Group, spending time in the Dubai, London, and New York offices. He worked on investments in financial services and technology companies across emerging markets. While at Abraaj, Faisal worked on the Network International exit to Warburg Pincus and General Atlantic and was the lead for the firm-wide digital economy taskforce. Faisal then joined UK-based payments startup IrisGuard, backed by Goldman Sachs and IFC, to head Corporate Strategy, where he led both business development and the fundraising process for the Series A.

Faisal graduated with an MBA from Harvard Business School, founding the HBS Fintech Club, and a B.A. in Engineering from Yale University.

As a core member of their Financial Services Practice, Zein has primarily pursued opportunities within the fintech space. With a particular focus on digital banking and payments, Zein worked on strategic projects aimed at enabling clients to excel in the digital economy, including building a greenfield digital bank in the UK and developing a new payments solution for the UAE's largest financial institution.

Zein graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University with a degree in Politics and Economics and is currently pursuing her MBA at London Business School. She previously worked at the Blackstone Group in New York, supporting global capital raising efforts for Blackstone's real estate funds.

He worked closely with CQS’s leadership team, leading major institutional channels globally in alternative credit, based between London and New York. Jean was an SVP (director) at PIMCO, with an established track record of developing and growing investment strategies, expanding the firm’s global alternative investments footprint. He also has direct private equity and credit experience. Before joining PIMCO, he worked at Deutsche Bank’s capital markets division in New York. Jean started his career as a strategy consultant at Booz & Co., within the TMT and energy sectors.

Jean holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Masters in Economics from the London School of Economics, and is a CFA Charterholder.

Joe is the VP of Finance and CCO at FinTech Collective, responsible for the finance, accounting, compliance, and back-office functions.

Before joining the firm, Joe spent nearly 5 years in private equity with Leeds Equity Partners, initially as a Fund Accountant before being promoted to Controller in 2018.

Originally from Ireland, Joe graduated from Trinity College, Dublin with a Bachelor of Business Studies in 2011. In September 2015 he moved to the U.S. after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG.
