We are thrilled to announce the official launch of the Women Who Roar (WWR) podcast series in collaboration with FTC portfolio company MoneyLion. The show is hosted by Shreya Choubey, Partner at FinTech Collective, Sarah Wolter, Principal at FinTech Collective and Jess Jackson, Director of Customer Operations at MoneyLion.

WWR is MoneyLion’s mission-based community platform to empower women from all walks of life to level up on financial knowledge, financial wellness, newer topics like crypto and DeFi, as well as strategies to advance their career and personal growth.

The Women Who Roar podcast (one endeavor of many within WWR) is an opportunity for the best and brightest women in the field to share views and news on everything from the latest in crypto, to the stock market, to inclusive banking, to women in leadership, to career progression. At its core, it is female leaders talking about crushing work, money, and life!

Supporting and empowering women who are already in fintech and DeFi, and encouraging the next generation of women to join their ranks is a core tenant of FinTech Collective’s mission. Whether you are an employee, founder, operator, investor, student, or just trying to learn more about a vibrant industry, we encourage you to dig in and have a listen.

In our first episode, which was released in conjunction with Women’s History Month, we interview Jo Ann Davaris, currently the Head of Global Privacy at Booking Holdings. Jo joined Booking Holdings in 2019, and prior to that held similar positions at institutions like Mercer and American Express. Jo also sits on several boards, and is a frequent speaker at conferences and panels around the world on Data Protection and Women in Leadership.

In this episode, we discuss what it means to be “CEO of the home”, motherhood as it relates to career development, having the courage to advocate for yourself (and getting over imposter syndrome), mentorship, and of course, Jo’s subject area expertise - data privacy.

We hope you enjoy this initiative and plan to release new episodes on a bi-weekly basis. If you, or someone you know would like to be a guest on the show, please reach out to us at [email protected]. We are excited to have rockstar women (and men) from all different fields - from finance, to tech, to sports and entertainment, and everything in between. To learn more, you can visit us here.
